Impact Management Platform: progress made but quest continues for single measurement standard ...

Updated: Aug 26, 2022

About the Impact Management Platform

The launch of the Impact Management Platform (the Platform) is one of the most significant global collaborations in impact management. A five-year project between leading global providers, and facilitated by the Impact Management Project (IMP), to consolidate and mainstream impact management practices.

The Platform was launched in November 2021 with an accompanying webtool, which is a first product of the Platform.

What has the Platform delivered?

As the Impact Investing Network, our take on the Platform is:

  • It is a very valuable collection of resources and interactive tools, usefully consolidated into one central place.

  • The Platform is a step in the right direction. However, it is not a single method of impact measurement that is required to provide consistency and clarity for impact management practitioners in New Zealand and globally.

Where can I find out more?

The Platform is freely available through the webtool with an impressive resource list. A good place to start is the downloaded summary and webinar, which can be accessed here.

What organisations are involved with the Platform?

The founding partners are the leading sustainability and impact standards organisations, along with intergovernmental and United Nation agencies.
