We're pleased to announce the formation of the new Impact Investing Network Advisory Committee (IIN AC), marking another important step in strengthening Aotearoa New Zealand’s impact investing ecosystem.
Following last year's integration of the Aotearoa Impact Investing Network into the Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA), this new Advisory Committee will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategy, capability and connectivity of the IIN in Aotearoa.
We are pleased to announce that experienced IIN Board members Alastair Rhodes, Justine Sefton, Jamie Newth and Dean Hegarty will be joined by Glenda Taituha-Toka, Tuhi Leef, Steven Moe, Joy Marslin, Safe Wongsunopparat, Dean Spicer, and Matthew Williams to form the IIN Advisory Committee.
"This committee brings together leaders with diverse strengths and deep experience. I look forward to working alongside them and with RIAA to accelerate progress in the years ahead” said Alastair Rhodes, Chair of the IIN Advisory Committee.
RIAA Co‑CEO Dean Hegarty emphasised the value this next phase brings for the industry: "We’re thrilled to welcome such an exceptional group of leaders to the IIN Advisory Committee. Their collective experience reflects the maturity and ambition of Aotearoa’s impact investing ecosystem. This group will play a crucial role in shaping the next phase of growth, helping the sector scale with both integrity and momentum."
The Advisory Committee will help shape priorities for the year ahead, including strengthening practitioner capability, enabling connections across the ecosystem, and supporting clearer pathways for capital to flow toward positive social and environmental impact.
We look forward to working with the newly appointed Advisory Committee and to another year of shared progress for impact investing in Aotearoa.
